Bio

Anthony Brooks is an Associate Attorney at John F. Schutz, P.L., where he focuses on family law matters. Mr. Brooks joined the firm in September 2026 after building a diverse legal background in both family and criminal law throughout New York City and South Florida. A graduate of New York Law School’s Two-Year Honors Program, he gained focused, extensive experience in Family Law, Matrimonial Law, and Trial Advocacy. During law school, he served as a student coach for New York Law School’s Trial Team, helping prepare competitors for advocacy competitions held in the New York County Supreme Court.

Mr. Brooks also dedicated his time to public service through the Access to Justice Program, providing free legal counseling and assistance to indigent and low-income self-represented litigants seeking uncontested divorces in Kings County and New York County. These experiences reinforced his passion for family law and his commitment to helping individuals navigate some of the most challenging issues involving their families and children.

Since being admitted to the New York Bar in 2021, Mr. Brooks has represented clients throughout all five boroughs of New York City in a wide range of matters, including criminal cases involving misdemeanors and felonies, as well as contested and uncontested divorces, child custody and support disputes, domestic violence proceedings, and alimony matters. His experience working with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds has enabled him to develop a practical, client-focused approach that provides compassionate representation.

In 2025, Mr. Brooks was admitted to The Florida Bar, where he advocates for and protects the interests of families throughout South Florida.

Born in Russia and raised in New York, Mr. Brooks pursued a lifelong goal of becoming an attorney. He believes in the opportunities afforded by the American Dream and the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedicated advocacy.
